Twenty seventeen has already been an intense year for Cee.

In the first three months alone, he's released three solo singles ("Meta", "Separate Ways" and "Ramadan (Appropriated Remix)"), a music video, shot four more videos and wrapped two albums, while running a business and building a fast growing craft beer podcast.

For the 6th year running, Cee is releasing something special for his birthday today (April 10th), and 2017 is the best drop yet. "You Know It", a dark, haunting trappy banger - produced by Portland, OR's Cee Goods (great name) - allows Cee to settle into his zone and truly shine. Intense double time flows and hard hitting bars touching on his growth as an artist, his hardships in moving to Canada and the recent passing of his father are complemented by the incredible visuals, once again courtesy of King Richard, with makeup by the fantastic Steph Miramontes

The dichotomy of Cee rapping his bars to himself (double time = double Cee) expresses an inner desire to give himself a message of hope and persistence by painting a vivid picture of everything he has gone through to get to where he is. Cee as the stone statue slowly breaking the shackles of his confinement represent the MC and entrepreneur coming into his own as a man, cracking through the hard shell of obscurity into the limelight.
